I am a professional woman and the mother of two daughters. F.A.K.E.! is my debut novel, loosely based on my experience with a tumultuous divorce. This traumatic event was the impetus for a shift from a 20 year career as an executive management consulting contractor with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to work as a Certified Professional Life Coach and author. While I continue to contract out my professional services as an executive management consultant, my life goal is to become a full time author and creator of entertaining content for film and television.
Shortly after my divorce, I formed the Ephesus Group, LLC – a full service certified professional coaching firm located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and self-published two books under the pseudonym Laine Ward. The first, 100 Reasons Why I Filed for Divorce. 101 Reasons Why I’m GLAD I Did!, addresses relationships and self-motivation in a compilation of my reasons for choosing divorce and positive validations as to why this was the right decision for me. My second book, Boudoir Monologues: Erotic Vignettes for the Sexes – Volume 1, combines my love of exotic travel destinations and romance into a series of tasteful erotic vignettes.
I have a Ph.D. in Political Science (with a concentration in Technology) from Howard University. I have also written and had published several articles on relationships and self-motivation for MariaShriver.com and DivorcedMoms.com under the pseudonym Laine Ward. My books are published by my publishing company Boudoir Monologues Publications and are sold on Amazon, Kindle, and Barnes & Noble (online).
